Admissions 2026-27

My First Step

Every Big Journey Starts With My First Step

Admissions for 2026-27 are open at Skill-ed, Balliwala Chowk, Dehradun, for Playgroup, Nursery, LKG, UKG, Grade 1 and Grade 2, and for day care. Children can join in any month while seats remain, and admission takes four simple steps.

Chhote Haath, Bade Hunar: small hands, big skills. The first step into school is a small one for a child and a big one for a family. We keep it gentle: a tour first, a class that fits your child's age, and a first week with a parent close by.

Admission questions

Before You Apply

When do admissions open at Skill-ed for 2026-27?

Admissions for the 2026-27 session are open now. Skill-ed admits children through the year, so you can choose a start date in any month while seats remain in the class. Most families finish the admission within a week of their tour.

What is the right age for Playgroup, Nursery, LKG and UKG?

Playgroup is for children aged 2 to 3, Nursery for 3 to 4, LKG for 4 to 5 and UKG for 5 to 6. Grade 1 is for ages 6 to 7 and Grade 2 for ages 7 to 8. Age is counted on 31 March of the admission year.

The full table, with a link to each class, is on the fees and eligibility page. Not sure where your child fits? We help you decide on the tour.

How do I apply for admission at Skill-ed?

There are four steps. Book a free tour and visit with your child, choose the class and a start date, submit the form and documents online or at the office, and then settle in gently over the first week with a parent nearby.

You can start the form online at admission.skill-ed.in, or book a tour first.

Which documents are needed for admission?

Bring the child's birth certificate, two passport photos of the child and one of each parent, an address proof and the immunisation record. A transfer certificate is needed only for Grade 1 and Grade 2. Forms and documents can be submitted online or at the school office.

Can my child join in the middle of the year?

Yes. Skill-ed takes admissions in any month while a seat is free in the class. Classes are small, so a new child settles quickly, and the first week is kept gentle, with short days and a parent nearby.

What is the fee structure at Skill-ed?

Fees depend on the programme: Kindergarten, Day Care, Post School or a camp. The current fee sheet is shared on the tour, by phone or on WhatsApp at +91 78 3080 3080. Kindergarten fees cover the curriculum, learning materials, art, music, outdoor play and a daily fruit break.

What each programme includes is listed on the fees and eligibility page.

What are the school and day care timings?

Skill-ed is open Monday to Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM and closed on Sunday. Kindergarten is a morning programme of about three hours, and day care continues until 6 PM with lunch, a nap and play. The exact timing for each class is confirmed at admission.

How do I book a school tour?

Use the Book a Tour button on any page, or call or WhatsApp +91 78 3080 3080. We call back within one working day to fix a time. Tours run Monday to Saturday, take about thirty minutes, and you are welcome to bring your child.
