Choosing a Programme

Which class should my child join at Skill-ed?

Go by your child's age on 31 March of the admission year: 2 to 3 is Playgroup, 3 to 4 Nursery, 4 to 5 LKG, 5 to 6 UKG, 6 to 7 Grade 1 and 7 to 8 Grade 2. If your child falls between two classes, we help you decide on the tour.

What happens after Grade 2?

Skill-ed runs up to Grade 2. After that, children move to Grade 3 at their next school. The aim of Grade 1 and Grade 2 here is that they leave reading fluently, writing on their own and confident with numbers, so the move to a bigger school is an easy one.

Is day care available for working parents?

Yes. Day care runs Monday to Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM for children aged 2 to 12, with a hygienic in-house lunch, snacks, a quiet nap room and structured activities. Many families pair a morning class with day care on the same campus.

The day care page walks through a full day, hour by hour.

What is the curriculum like at Skill-ed?

Children learn language, numbers, movement and social skills through play, with a short structured session each morning. Playgroup begins with rhymes and sensory play, Nursery to UKG add phonics, early maths and pre-writing, and Grade 1 and 2 build reading, writing and maths.

Every class is set out side by side on the programmes page.
