When Grandparents Came to School
Aashirwad means blessing, and this page belongs to the grandparents of Skill-ed. On 12 September our activity hall turned purple and white, and they came in as guests of honour. The children hosted, danced, sang and handed them the microphone.

9:40 am
Early arrivals
Before the programme began, grandparents and grandchildren spent a few minutes together in the play zone.

10:05 am
A portrait for every grandparent
The hall was dressed in purple and white, with a flower booth where every grandparent sat for a portrait.

The children host the morning
Two student anchors welcomed the guests of honour, followed by a welcome address from the podium.

Three generations on the dance floor
Grandparents and grandchildren danced together, hand in hand, with plenty of spins.

Performances by the grandchildren
A group dance, a solo and a duet, performed for a hall full of grandparents.

Games, stories and songs
Grandparents raced each other at a table game, then took the microphone to speak and sing.

The youngest take their turn
Our littlest students lined up to perform, and one young speaker addressed the grandparents on the microphone.

Trophies and a family photo
Winners were honoured with trophies, and everyone gathered for the group photos.

12:00 pm
One last song
At noon a grandmother took the microphone for one last song.
